Charlotte, NC; Hudson Falls, NY; and Montreal, Canada. Member of
World-Wide Service Executive Team and North American Executive
Team. Reversed unprofitable trend in two Roll Services locations
in less than one year. Operating Net Profit exceeded budget in
1997 and 1998. Established high level of credibility with
Service Vice Presidents, business managers and regional service
managers at all locations. Directly responsible for all North
American Service sales in 1998.

Valmet-Appleton Division (1990-1996).
Responsible for capital equipment manufacturing company with
annual sales of $75-80 million for the finishing equipment lines
of paper mills. Recognized leader in profitability among
Valmet’s North American locations; ensured short-term and
long-term profitability. Heightened customer focus and improved
customer satisfaction. Developed quality culture at this
location, and influenced the development of the team culture in
the global Valmet Corporation. Appleton Division awarded ISO
9000 certification, December 1991. Planned, implemented and
started-up new $5.6 million facility for roll services, March
1993. Acquired roll shop in Massachusetts, June 1994. Achieved
best score in North America for Malcolm Baldrige leadership
criteria, as assessed by Valmet auditors, October 1995.
Product Manager,
Valmet-Appleton Winder Business (1985-1990). Overall
responsibility for profitability of the product line. Increased
volume from $3.5 million to $15 million in five years. Most
profitable segment of Finishing Businesses. Direct management of
engineering, project management, and R&D. New winder
developed into major success as flagship product. Indirect
responsibility for sales, marketing and manufacturing. Technical
presentations for customers. Member of Division Management
Committee. Set the standard for other three product groups.
